Florida: Transit authority rejects CAIR’s jihad propaganda campaign

Posted on May 20, 2013 by creeping

#MyJihad to become #LitigationJihad soon? via Florida Family Association. FFA might welcome that.

Emails opposing CAIR’s campaign made a difference.

Florida Family Association launched an email campaign on March 27, 2013 that encouraged subscribers to urge transit authority officials to deny CAIR Florida’s advertising campaign to redefine the Islamic word Jihad.  This campaign appeared to be propaganda that was intended to neutralize the meaning of the Islamic word Jihad in the minds of the American public.

CAIR Florida (Council on American Islamic Relations) submitted the advertising copy posted below to the transit authority in Tampa, Florida named HART.  The below advertising was proposed for mass transit buses in Hillsborough County, population 1.3 million.

HART rejected the advertisements earlier this year because their policy prohibits “Advertisements that primarily promote a religious faith or religious organizations.”  Hassan Shibly, Executive Director of CAIR Florida appealed the executive decision to the HART board of directors.  CAIR’s proposed #MyJihad campaign was placed on HART’S April 1, 2013 agenda to be considered at a public hearing.

Thousands of Florida Family Association supporters sent emails to urge the fifteen members on the HART board of directors to reject CAIR’s #MyJihad campaign.

hassanshibly

Hassan Shibly conveniently informed HART that he could not attend the April 1, 2013 public hearing date after learning of Florida Family Association’s campaign and the thousands of emails received by HART board members.  HART officials informed Florida Family Association that Shibly planned to resubmit his request for the HART May 6, 2013 public hearing.

However, HART informed Florida Family Association with the following email that CAIR was not on the May 6, 2013 agenda.

Subject: RE: May 6, 2013 HART Regular Board Meeting, PowerPoint file and Request for Agenda

Mr. Caton,

Good afternoon.  At this point, there are no plans to include a presentation from CAIR on the agendas for any of the upcoming HART Board meetings.  The draft agenda for the May 6 HART Board meeting is attached for your information.   The full May 6 HART Board regular meeting packet will be available at www.gohart.org website next week.

Thank you.

The May 6, 2013 HART public hearing is over.  No one from CAIR made any requests or comments on or off the agenda regarding their #MyJihad campaign at the meeting.

Florida Family Association has learned that HART told Hassan Shibly the last week of April that there was no way that they would allow the word Jihad to be used on their mass transit vehicles.  It was also learned that CAIR may try to develop another campaign that does not include the word Jihad.

A special thanks to everyone who sent emails regarding this issue.  Your emails made a difference.

Idaho: Muslim refugee from Uzbekistan charged in terror plot

Posted on May 18, 2013 by creeping

Fazliddin Kurbanov

via Idaho man charged in Uzbekistan terrorism plot.

BOISE, Idaho (AP) — He was a Russian-speaking truck driver who came to Idaho nearly four years ago to join hundreds of other Uzbekistan refugees for whom the state has become a sanctuary from violence in their home country.

But federal officials say in an indictment that Fazliddin Kurbanov also was teaching people to build bombs that would target public transportation.

It’s unclear whether those alleged targets were domestic or abroad — or how far Kurbanov would have gone. Prosecutors said Friday only that they believe he no longer is a threat.

Kurbanov, 30, was arrested Thursday during a raid of his small apartment south of Boise’s downtown.

Prosecutors charged him with felonies in Idaho and Utah after an extensive investigation into his activities late last year and this year. They allege those activities included assisting a militant group in his native Uzbekistan, a Central Asian country with a southern border with Afghanistan.

“Given his arrest, we believe any potential threat he posed has been contained,” U.S Attorney Wendy Olson said. She noted the investigation is ongoing but declined to say whether federal agents are pursuing additional arrests.

Kurbanov said little Friday during his first court appearance, where he pleaded not guilty with help from an interpreter and a federally appointed defense attorney. Kurbanov wore a jail jumpsuit and had dark hair and a beard that was much shorter than the one pictured in his Idaho driver’s license.

Kurbanov lists Uzbek as his first language and Russian as his second in court documents. Federal officials said they will enlist the help of an interpreter again Tuesday when he appears for his detention hearing.

Until then, Kurbanov will be held in the Ada County Jail. His trial on the three counts filed in Idaho is scheduled for July 2.

His lawyer, Richard Rubin, declined to comment.

Kurbanov is among about 650 Uzbeks living in Idaho. He was admitted to the U.S. as a refugee in August 2009, the same month he moved to Boise, said Jan Reeves, director of the Idaho Office for Refugees, citing immigration records. Kurbanov was here legally, federal officials said.

Uzbeks began coming to Idaho’s two refugee settlement centers, in Boise and Twin Falls, in 2003, Reeves said. The centers connect refugees with services such as language classes and help finding work.

About 90 percent of Uzbeks in their home country are Muslim.

The flow of Uzbeks to the state escalated around 2005, when a violent clash between protesters and the government left hundreds dead.

Kurbanov told authorities he had a job driving trucks and listed his only assets as used cars and a small amount of cash in checking and savings accounts.

On Friday, the apartment where he is believed to live had a sign on the door saying “Please respect our privacy.” Nobody responded to a knock. Many immigrants from numerous countries live in the complex, a series of two-level buildings across from a public high school.

Olson said that since Kurbanov’s arrest, she has seen Internet comments blaming Muslims living in Idaho — something she called inappropriate.

“These charges shouldn’t be seen as a reflection on that community,” Olson said.

Actually they should particularly if he was training Muslims in that community to build bombs and wage jihad. And even if they shouldn’t it’s not your job to defend the Muslim community. Dhimmi.

Representatives of the Islamic Center of Boise, a meeting place for the region’s Muslim community, didn’t immediately return a phone call Friday.

The Idaho indictment charges Kurbanov with one count of conspiracy to provide material support to a foreign terrorist organization and one count of conspiracy to give material support to terrorists and possession of an unregistered explosive device.

It alleges that between August and May, he knowingly conspired with others to provide resources, including computer software and money, to the Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan, which the U.S. has identified as a terrorist organization. The group’s purpose is to overthrow the government of Uzbekistan, said David B. Barlow, U.S. attorney in Utah. The alleged co-conspirators were not named.

The indictment also alleges Kurbanov provided material support to terrorists, knowing it was to be used in preparation for a plot involving the use of a weapon of mass destruction.

On Nov. 15, Kurbanov possessed a series of parts intended to be converted into a bomb, including a hollow hand grenade and aluminum powder, according to the indictment.

A separate federal grand jury in Utah charged Kurbanov with distributing information about bombs. For 10 days in January, Kurbanov taught and demonstrated how to make an “explosive, destructive device and weapon of mass destruction,” the document states.

The Utah indictment, to be handled separately after the Idaho prosecution is resolved, alleges Kurbanov provided recipes for making improvised explosive devices and went on instructional shopping trips in Utah to help illustrate how to create them, Barlow said. Kurbanov also showed Internet videos on the topic, Barlow said.

Although the Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan started in the 1990s with the stated aim of overthrowing the Uzbek regime and establishing an Islamic government, its goals have expanded to create a broader Islamic influence in Central Asia.

The movement’s fighters have a presence in Afghanistan’s northern provinces and in Pakistan’s Waziristan province. U.S. and Afghan officials say Al-Qaeda has been building ties with the IMU.

Last year, an Uzbek named Ulugbek Kodirov was sentenced to at least 15 years in prison in Alabama for plotting to shoot President Barack Obama. Kodirov pleaded guilty, saying he was acting for the IMU.

Two other Uzbek nationals were arrested in 2012, one in Colorado and another in Pennsylvania, on what the FBI said were related terrorism charges.

The reflection on the Uzbek and Muslim community continues to nosedive.

According to Idaho’s courts, Kurbanov has no criminal convictions but was ticketed for speeding violations twice last year.

Only Syrian Muslims in the U.S. are permitted to wage jihad to overthrow a foreign government. And before that Egyptian Muslims and before that Libyan Muslims living in the U.S.

DOJ Press Release:  Boise Man Arrested; Terrorism Charges Filed in Idaho and Utah

Fazliddin Kurbanov, 30, was arrested Thursday morning in Boise, Idaho, as part of a federal terrorism investigation.  Federal terrorism charges were filed Thursday afternoon in Boise and Salt Lake City, Utah.  Kurbanov, an Uzbekistan national, legally present in the United States, was living in Boise at the time of his arrest.

A federal grand jury in Boise returned a three-count indictment charging Kurbanov with one count of conspiracy to provide material support to a designated foreign terrorist organization, one count of conspiracy to provide material support to terrorists and one count of possessing an unregistered destructive device.

A federal grand jury in Salt Lake City returned an indictment charging Kurbanov with one count of distribution of information relating to explosives, destructive devices and weapons of mass destruction.

Attorney: “Every single application of a Muslim nonprofit has flown through the IRS, with less scrutiny”

Posted on May 17, 2013 by creeping

Including terror-linked CAIR (see links below). via ILLUME reporter, a corporate and tax attorney, Maryam Khan Ansari.

Do Muslim Nonprofits Have it Easier Than Tea Party Groups?

Has the Internal Revenue Service been tacitly cracking down on the Tea Party? Quite possibly, according to CNN, in what’s being called “The IRS Tea-Party Scandal.”

In fact, it may be easier to become a Muslim nonprofit these days than it would be to become a Tea Party affiliated nonprofit.

Having spent most of my legal career working with tax exempt entities, the IRS scrutiny on the Tea Party isn’t news to me. In my days at large law firms, I handled a portfolio of nonprofit Tea Party organizations and saw firsthand how the IRS treated them when it came to granting exemptions.

In many cases, the organizations fight tooth-and-nail to get through IRS scrutiny, often facing pages of questions from the IRS on their activities.

And she said and did nothing. If it were a Muslim group would she remain silent?

On the flip side, I’ve worked with numerous Muslim organizations as well. And every single application of a Muslim nonprofit has gone through the IRS, with less scrutiny. Of course, they still did get scrutiny– after all, Islamophobia is still pretty rampant everywhere and it’s inaccurate to say that they got a free pass. But truth be told, they never got a 10-page questionnaire on each and every one of their grantees.

What does this say about the way that the IRS is handling applications from Muslim nonprofits? For one, in the application phase, Muslim nonprofits seem to have an upper hand over Tea Party groups. Of course, the Muslim groups face their struggles post-determination, when they’re suddenly placed under investigation. And the IRS isn’t the agency that tends to target Muslim nonprofits, even though the Treasury has a list of “scary Muslims” (ever heard of the OFAC list?).  It’s usually  the FBI and the Department of Homeland Security who run Muslim nonprofits to the ground and put their founders in jail. But going back to the IRS Tea Party scandal, the IRS certainly makes it hard for Tea Party groups to make it through the door.

For now, nonprofits should learn from this debacle and be very careful when choosing a name. Their name could lead to their application falling into a “special” pile.

That’s the advice you get from a lawyer who whines about Islamophobia and Treasury/FBI scrutiny of Islamic charities – many shut down or convicted for funding jihadists? If a non-profit has to be very careful in choosing a name then the Constitution is DOA. But the awake know it has been for some time and is only selectively referenced.

The IRS also granted Hamas-linked CAIR tax-exempt status once again despite their foreign-funding and numerous failures to report.

1.     Hamas-linked CAIR loses IRS tax deductible status

2.     Why is CAIR withholding tax records from the IRS?

3.     Muslim group won’t disclose tax information as required by law

4.     U.S. Congressman Asks IRS To Investigate CAIR

[Editor’s Note: This does not necessarily entail the beliefs, thoughts, or theories of the local Act chapters or the National Act office…they are my beliefs, thoughts and/or theories. This coincides with the Muslim Brotherhood taking over America internally with the help of an Islamic Trojan horse in the White House...it shows discrimination in "allah's cause. Makes it easy for Muslim groups to pay their zakat to terrorist groups (like the Muslim Brotherhood's own terrorist groups called Al-Qaeda, you know, the one that Obama bends over backwards to help them take over other countries like Libya and Syria, even though they attacked the US on 9/11, and Hamas, that constantly attacks our ally Israel), but hard for Patriotic America groups, like the Tea Party groups that show the Obama administration is highly discriminative, as well as catering to Muslims, they try to do what they can to shut non-Muslim groups fold...and the majority of the American people still feel Obama is a Christian...can't seem to figure out the stupidity of the Obama supporters...guess that's one reason for Obamacare...because the majority of Americans seem to be brain dead and Obama can make a lot of money off them.]

The continued degradation and humiliation of our troops in Afghanistan by the Obama Regime

Proposed new Army manual warns U.S. Army troops not to insult the Taliban or criticize Muslim pedophilia. I guess this nixes pissing on Taliban corpses, too?

THE NEW OBAMA RULES

(From Dec. 2012) The U.S. Army is soon to issue a handbook instructing soldiers to respect a barbaric ideology that stands against everything Americans are in Afghanistan risking their lives for. The new manual, which runs to 75 pages, orders American military personnel to refrain from offending the Taliban by criticizing their practice of sexual relations with children, abuse of women, poisonings of schoolgirls,  killing of  blasphemers, and more.

The manual, approved by the Obama Regime, suggests that Western ignorance and arrogance are why coalition troops are being killed by Afghan Army members and police as well as the Taliban.

Behind the Burqa

Posted by Zenster at 12:08 AM

What’s behind the burqa? Too often—as British law enforcement and other international authorities have had to find out the hard way—it isn’t even a woman. Burqas have been worn by men in order to facilitate violent robberies, make jail escapes, evade airport security checks and work numerous other legal dodges.

It’s not just men who have purposefully employed this ruse. The case of Carnita Matthews centered on her false accusations that, during a routine traffic stop, an Australian police officer attempted to tear off the burqa she was wearing. Vehicle-based video camera recordings supported the officer’s denial of her charges. After being convicted of making a deliberately false statement, Matthews successfully appealed by claiming that the court could not prove whether she was the person who appeared in full burqa during the hearing. This appeal went through, despite the existence of a written statement that was shown to be in her hand. This cynical manipulation of Western legal systems by Muslims is emblematic of how Islam “weaponizes” the benign traditions and practices of civilized societies.

Some Western nations are catching on to this chicanery. Canada now requires that women must remove any facial coverings when reciting their oath of citizenship. Ostensibly, this is to make sure that they are actually speaking the words. Not much ink is devoted to concerns about someone else showing up in full burqa and falsely receiving naturalization. Equally disappointing is how Canada’s high court recently ruled in favor of Muslim women being able to testify in court while keeping their faces covered. We won’t even discuss the lunacy of allowing Muslim women to obtain driver’s licenses that show a covered face. The opportunities for identity “theft” (i.e., sharing) are astronomical.

Most ironic of all is that Muslim women pay the biggest price for wearing such coverings. Not only is there a resurgence of rickets—a bone disease related to vitamin D deficiency that is linked with inadequate exposure to sunlight which allows the skin to synthesize this vital nutrient—but Shari’a law that mandates the equivalent of body bags for Muslim women can get them killed.

This was what happened in Saudi Arabia where the Committee for the Promotion of Virtue and the Prevention of Vice fields “religious police” known as the mutawa or (plural) mutaween (or, mutawwa’in). They patrol the streets with whips and rods looking for women who are wearing excessive eyeliner or displaying too much ankle. Transgressors are beaten or whipped on the spot. Do not underestimate the power of the mutaween. They were at the center of a major scandal in 2002 involving a devastating fire at the Mecca Intermediate School No. 31 for girls. In this case, young girls fleeing the all-woman staffed facility—a unique feature that allowed the pupils to uncover during classes—had not donned their head scarves and were pushed back into the burning building by the mutaween, who then interfered with desperate parents, local residents and even responding emergency services personnel. Evidently, the risk of having men’s minds being polluted by the sight of uncovered female flesh far outweighed any need for a speedy rescue. Those who did manage to flee the blaze were beaten on the spot for being uncovered. Some 15 young women perished, five of them died of burns while ten others were crushed to death in the chaotic evacuation and another 50 were injured.

In a ground breaking and unprecedented move, the mutaween were criticized. Yes, you read that correctly. No charges of involuntary manslaughter or child endangerment were filed, these sanctimonious prigs were merely criticized. So, Muslim women can end up paying the ultimate price for this prudish nonsense.

To give some perspective with regard to just how warped the mutaween can be, consider this recent case. Omar Borkan Al Gala, a poet, actor and internet personality from the UAE (United Arab Emirates), was forcibly removed from a Riyadh culture festival and deported for being “too handsome”. Evidently, the religious police felt that his good looks would “drive women to distraction”.

There immediately springs to mind two separate issues, both involving psychological projection. The first impression being that there is a distinct undercurrent of homoerotic transposition involved. Despite its reputation for being violently anti-gay, Islam’s policy of purdah—the confinement of women—is responsible for a large portion of homosexual activity in Muslim nations. Afghanistan’s bacha bazi boys—young males dressed as girl dancers that are auctioned off to the viewing audience afterwards—and the Taliban’s set of thirty rules of which number nineteen prohibits fighters from taking young boys without facial hair into their private quarters are prime examples of the unadmitted homosexuality that goes on, even in the most puritanical Islamic nations.

bachabazi

The second issue of psychological projection lies in how Muslim women must go about covered lest Muslim men become inflamed by their exposed flesh and be led into wrongdoing. First of all, this presumes that all Muslim men have such inadequate impulse control that they will commit sexual assault at the slightest temptation. To likewise map such moral weakness onto Muslim women who are subject to far greater behavioral constraints is a serious instance of projection.

Finally, there is a significant question that arises from Muslim women who wear the niqab or burqa in Western countries. The wearing of such garb is a tacit, yet overt, protest to other women going about uncovered. If Muslims find skimpy attire so objectionable, why on earth have they come to a place where it is so widespread? Likewise with so many other common Western practices like public displays of affection or coed swimming, dancing and education. What is the meaning of taking up residence where a vast majority of the local population will be one endless source of affront?

The only context in which this makes any sense is the same one that explains why Muslims come to countries where they have absolutely no intention of integrating into the surrounding society.

People who settle in foreign countries and yet adamantly refuse to assimilate into that nation’s culture are not immigrants, they are colonists.

That is what lies behind the burqa.

Muslims in the West who insist upon wearing body coverings are making an unmistakable statement that they are here to supplant our dominant culture. Out of respect for our own hard won heritage and traditions, such people should not be allowed to set foot on Western soil.

[Editor’s Note: This does not necessarily entail the beliefs, thoughts, or theories of the local Act chapters or the National Act office…they are my beliefs, thoughts and/or theories. Now the Muslims moving to another country, and not wanting to, or willing to assimilate, are doing it, specifically because it is jihad...jihad is considered in Shari'a Law, and by Islamic scholars, to be a Holy War to advance Allah. Now what most people misinterpret about jihad is that they think it has to do something with killing. This is not the case. Jihad is to spread Islam, and by forcing people of the host country to allow Islamic views and "traditions" to be allowed, is an act of the host country submitting to Islam, in which case, the foreigners have committed jihad, a non-violent jihad, to slowly start turning the host country into an Islamic country, or at least a Dhimmi country.]

AFFIRMATIVE ACTION? MSNBC pundit says,” Open borders will reduce Muslim poverty that’s threatening our security”

msnbc1-252x300Uhm, Nooooo, it’s well-financed Muslim jihadists sneaking over the border with bombs and WMD’s that threaten our security. The rest of them can afford the plane fare required to take down iconic buildings.

Mediaite Touré added that those who claim open borders would result in an influx of dangerous individuals are falling prey to a canard. He said that the 9/11 hijackers and the Boston bombers entered the country legally. “It’s Muslim poverty that’s threatening our security,” Touré asserted, “not our immigration system.”

He said giving Islamic immigrants the ability to work in the US would diminish their anger, poverty, and general misapprehensions about America. “Just like corporations without borders has given the fat cats a better bottom line, people deserve the chance to be a full part of the global marketplace,” Touré concluded. “Open borders will improve the world.”

Posted on 7 May 13 by BNI

[Editor’s Note: This does not necessarily entail the beliefs, thoughts, or theories of the local Act chapters or the National Act office…they are my beliefs, thoughts and/or theories. I'm going to have to agree with BNI all the way with this...MSNBC is full of ignorant, blind and Obama backing idiots. They know nothing about Islam. Killing infidels and non-Muslim believers has nothing to do with poverty...it has everything to do with taking over the world, and making people either submit to Islam, become slaves (and still submit to Islam), or be killed. It has nothing to do with how rich or poor one is. In fact, according to US Border Patrol, in 2011 there were almost 8000 Muslims that got caught sneaking in the country...and Iran boasts they have terrorist sleeper cells here in America...are the sleeper cells in the cells because they are poor? Not at all, they are in the cells because they have a religion that tells them they will receive all the sexual gratification they can ever imagine if/when they become martyrs and go to allah's make believe paradise.

So, with open borders, and with Sheik Obama trying to fulfill sharia law by disarming infidels and kuffars, and slowing taking apart the military, he is, in a roundabout way setting us up for a takeover...imagine the scenario...Americans have no guns, or ammo, whatever Obama forces on us after taking our rights away, the borders get wide open, the Hezbollah village outside of the American borders in Mexico come waltzing in, and with all the Muslims and the sleeper cell radicals, the unarmed American wouldn't stand a chance. After all, with Sheik Obama trying to take our guns away, do you think these "lone wolf" radicals ascertained their weapons in America?]

Muslims make up 30 of 31 on FBI’s Most Wanted Terrorist List

Posted on May 5, 2013 by creeping

A public service reminder, as if one were needed, from Daniel Pipes.

most wanted

The Federal Bureau of Investigation’s list of “Ten Most Wanted” fugitives dates back to 1950 but the list of “Most Wanted Terrorists” dates back to just after 9/11 and a sense that terrorism had become a strategic threat. Today, the list includes 31 individuals, all of them male and with a single exception (Daniel Andreas San Diego, an animal rights extremist), all of them Muslim:

·         Abd al Aziz Awda – 1950, Palestinian, Palestinian Islamic Jihad
·         Abdelkarim Hussein Mohamed Al-Nasser – ca. 1947, Saudi, Saudi Hizbullah
·
Abdul Rahman Yasin – 1960, American, World Trade Center bombing in 1993

·
Jamel Ahmed Mohammed Ali Al-Badawi – 1960, Yemeni, USS Cole bombing in 2000
·
Jehad Serwan Mostafa – 1981, American, Al-Shabaab
·
Mohammed Ali Hamadei – 1964, Lebanese, Lebanese Hizbullah
·
Muhammad Abdullah Khalil Hussain Ar-Rahayyal – 1965, Palestinian, Pan Am hijacking in 1986
·
Muhammad Ahmed Al-Munawar – 1965, Palestinian, Abu Nidal Organization
·
Omar Shafik Hammami – 1984, American, Al-Shabaab
·
Raddulan Sahiron – ca. 1936, Filipino, Abu Sayyaf Group

·
Saif Al-Adel – ca. 1960, Egyptian, Al-Qaeda
·
Wadoud Muhammad Hafiz Al-Turki – 1955, Palestinian, Pan Am hijacking in 1986
·
Zulkifli Abdhir – 1966, Malaysian, Kumpulun Mujahidin Malaysia

(1) Muslims make up 30 out of 31 most wanted terrorists, or about 97 percent of them.

(3) Ethnic Arabs make up 25 of the 30 terrorists. The largest numbers are 4 each of Lebanese, Palestinians, and Saudis, 3 each of Americans and Egyptians. Non-ethnic Arabs include 2 Filipinos, 1 Malaysian, 1 Pakistani, and 1 American convert.

: In an odd move, the FBI today announced the addition of Joanne Chesimard (aka Assata Shakur) to the “Most Wanted Terrorists List.” Count the ways it is odd:

  • Chesimard perpetrated a crime, not a terrorist attack. The FBI’s press release explains that she engaged in “the cold-blooded murder of a New Jersey State Trooper.” How does killing a policeman who stopped her car for a motor vehicle violation amount to terrorism? This stretches the word terrorism to meaninglessness.
  • The FBI prepares these lists hoping for help from the public; but Chesimard is not someone whom the public can help with; as the FBI puts it, she is “believed to be living freely in Cuba. She has been living in Cuba since mid-1984, where she attends government functions and her standard of living is higher than most Cubans.” So, as an honored guest there, how will her capture be advanced by adding her to the terrorist list?
  • And then the topic of this blog: a quick search does not turn up whether Chesimard identifies as a Muslim. If she does, then the terrorist count reaches 31 out of 32. If not, then her odd addition to the list would seem to be an attempt to dilute the Muslim component I pointed out two days ago. Who else might the FBI add: perhaps an anarchist from the 1890s still on the loose?

Chesimard should not only be jailed but should be executed for the 1973 murder. That said, she is 65 years old and writing books in Cuba, a threat to no one. Her sudden inclusion on the terrorism list makes no sense on a list that should focus on the “armed and extremely dangerous” thugs who live among us.

The terrorism list is poorly crafted and in dire need of both definition and updating; it is an embarrassment.

Air Force Recruits Chaplains From Muslim Brotherhood Front Group

Posted on May 4, 2013 by creeping

Obama is clearing the ranks of those who warn about jihad and filling it with, well…

via Air Force Recruits Chaplains From MB Front Group

The U.S. Air Force has confirmed to The Clarion Project that it paid nearly $5,000 for advertisements in the magazine of the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA), an unindicted co-conspirator in a terrorism-financing trial that was also labeled a U.S. Muslim Brotherhood entity by the government. The Air Force said it would continue to consider paying ISNA for ads.

An advertisement for the U.S. Air Force Chaplain Corps is in the March-April issue of Islamic Horizons, ISNA’s magazine. ClarionProject.org asked the Air Force about the advertisement and included facts about ISNA. Air Force spokesperson Captain Lindsey Hahn responded:

“The Department of Defense does not endorse any one religion or religious organization, and provides free access of religion for all members of the military services.  The Department respects (and supports by its policy) the rights of others to their own religious beliefs, including the right to hold no beliefs. In order to recruit chaplains capable to provide for the diverse needs of Airmen and their families, Air Force chaplain recruiters advertise in a wide variety of religious organization publications

“The Islamic Society of North America is one of many religious organizations recognized by the Department of Defense that satisfy the ecclesiastical requirements to endorse qualified religious ministry professionals to serve as chaplains within the Military Departments.

“This ad ran twice in the Islamic Horizons magazine to create awareness for Air Force chaplain recruiting efforts in the Muslim community. It cost $4800 total.”

When asked whether the U.S. Air Force will reconsider paying ISNA for advertisement space in the future, the spokesperson repeated the earlier statement.

There are three takeaways here. First, the U.S. Air Force gave nearly $5,000 of taxpayer money to ISNA. Second, the Air Force says ISNA is qualified to endorse Muslim chaplains for the military. And lastly, even when provided with the facts about ISNA, the Air Force says it will consider future payments to ISNA for ads.

ISNA is the first organization mentioned in a 1991 U.S. Muslim Brotherhood memo’s list of “our organizations and the organizations of our friends.” The same memo describes its “work in America as a kind of grand jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within.”

Declassified FBI memos reveal that ISNA was identified as a Brotherhood front as early as 1987.

The Justice Department labeled ISNA an unindicted co-conspirator in the terrorism-financing trial of the Holy Land Foundation, a U.S. Muslim Brotherhood entity that was shut down for funding Hamas. The U.S. government listed ISNA as one of the “individuals/entities who are and/or were members of the U.S. Muslim Brotherhood.” The label was upheld in 2009 because of “ample” evidence linking ISNA to Hamas. The Holy Land Foundation “operated from within ISNA,” the ruling noted, and it used an ISNA bank account to send “hundreds of thousands of dollars” to Hamas.

The director of ISNA’s Office of Interfaith and Community Alliances, Sayyid Syeed, was on ISNA’s founding board of directors and was the secretary-general from 1994 to 2006. In 2006, he was recorded saying, “Our job is to change the constitution of America.”

Obama wants to give $77.7M to UNESCO as Hamas bulldozes UNESCO heritage site

Obama Administration seeks UNESCO funding as session targets Israel in 5 agenda items at View from Geneva.

In the same week that UNESCO opened its Executive Board session with five anti-Israel agenda items, the Obama Administration asked Congress to waive legislative restrictions and approve $77.7 million in funding for the Paris-based agency.

From the 2014 budget request:

The Administration seeks Congressional support for legislation that would provide authority to waive legislative restrictions that, if triggered, would prohibit paying U.S. contributions to United Nations specialized agencies that grant the Palestinians the same standing as member states or full membership as a state. Should the Congress pass this waiver legislation, the FY 2014 funding specifically requested for UNESCO would cover the FY 2014 UNESCO assessment and the FY 2013 and FY 2014 Contingent Requirements funding would cover arrears which accrued in FY 2012 and FY 2013.

(See submission by Sec. John Kerry p. 45, note 2.)

Also via UN Watch, UNESCO silent as Hamas bulldozes world heritage site for terrorist training camp,

GENEVA, April 15 - In an urgent letter sent today to UNESCO director-general Irina Bokova (see letter below), UN Watch demanded immediate action to stop the Hamas bulldozing of a 3000-year-old Gaza harbor for use as a terrorist training camp, as reported today by Al Monitor Palestine Pulse. A copy was also sent to EU foreign minister Catherine Ashton calling on the EU to take action.

The partial destruction of the ancient Anthedon Harbor—which includes the ruins of a Roman temple and archaeological remains from the Persian, Hellenistic, Roman and Byzantine eras—comes exactly one year after the area was nominated by new UNESCO member state Palestine as a World Heritage site.

UN Watch, an independent Geneva-based monitoring group, called on Bokova to bring the issue before the UNESCO executive board now meeting in Paris.

UN Watch’s letter was sent today to Ms. Bokova and Lady Ashton follows here.

Foreign Law Ban Advances in Texas Senate

Posted on April 13, 2013 by creeping

Why are Muslims and the dhimmis who support so vehemently opposed to banning foreign laws, particularly sharia law? This diatribe is from a left wing website of the Orwellian name “Texas Freedom Network.” The religious freedom they are fighting for now appears to be Islamic sharia law.

via Sharia Ban Advances in Texas Senate | TFN Insider.

In an impromptu meeting called at the close of the Senate’s regular business on Wednesday, the Business and Commerce Committee quietly — and narrowly — voted to pass Senate Bill 1639 by a vote of 5-4. Based on our quick review of the audio file of the meeting, the vote count was as follows:

Yes: Carona (R), Taylor (R), Eltife (R), Hancock (R), Lucio (D)

No: Estes (R), Van de Putte (D), Watson (D), Whitmire (D)

It’s not exactly surprising to see a measure targeting the mythical threat of Sharia law advance in Texas — it’s certainly not the first time. But given the overwhelming chorus of voices that unequivocally demonstrated that there is no problem with Sharia law in Texas courts, it is  a little disconcerting.

And yet, some on the committee were clearly listening to that testimony. Sen. Craig Estes, R-Wichita Falls, explained why he joined with three Democrats on the committee to vote against the measure:

Senator Carona, I want to first start by saying that I believe this bill was filed with the best of intentions. I think it was filed to protect the weakest among us from systems of law which are fundamentally unjust, and I applaud that intent. Mr. Chairman, I do not agree with those who have attempted to malign your attempts to pass this bill as a form of religious bigotry. I vote against it, not because I disagree with its intent, but I think it is not needed and I fear that there are possible unintended consequences.

First of all, the drafting of this bill is very broad; it makes sweeping prohibitive statements about all foreign law. We heard testimony that it could invalidate divorces and maybe even marriages in countries without separation of church and state. The supporters of the bill want to stop oppressive — and I do say oppressive — systems like Sharia, but that would also pick up benign systems of Jews, Catholics and immigrants from countries without separation of church and state. The supporters of the bill could not guarantee that unintended consequences like this would not follow.

So I return to my original point: why should we risk these unintended consequences? … I would urge my members, the members, fellow members to be very careful with this, and, respectfully, I’ll be voting no.

The bill now awaits a vote of the full Senate… unless the clear logic Sen. Estes lays out can persuade his colleagues to keep off the Senate floor what could turn into an ugly debate. (Due to the Senate’s operating rules, it takes only 11 Senators to block consideration of a bill.)

Stay tuned.

Of course TFN won’t tell readers that there has been an Islamic sharia court in Texas for several years already and an appellate court referred a case to it. They just presume the sheeple will be blinded by the unscrupulous use of the word “freedom” in their name. They are also pro-CSCOPE and their mission is to counter the religious right. What could be more right on the religious scale than Islam and sharia law which they claim this bill is targeting. Of course, the only thing that will truly stop the rapid Islamization and calls for sharia are banning those who want it and continue to fight for it in place of the Constitution.
