Turkey’s foreign minister issues warning, says ‘Holy wars will soon begin in Europe’

Turkey has increased tensions with Europe after the country’s foreign minister said the continent is heading towards a holy war.

Mevlut Cavusoglu, 49, who has been part of Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s administration since December 2013, fanned an already volatile situation when he said all the Dutch parties running for election on Thursday 15th shared the same anti-Islamic views held by Geert Wilders, who is head of the PVV, and so it did not matter who had won.

The Netherlands’ incumbent prime minister Mark Rutte successfully fended off the challenge of Mr. Wilders who had stood on an anti-EU, anti-Muslim ticket.

Throughout the campaign Mr. Rutte had steadfastly refused to work with Mr. Wilders due to his views.

Speaking at a rally in the southern city of Antalya, Mr. Cavusoglu said: “Many parties have received a similar share of votes. 17 per cent, 20 per cent, there are lots of parties like this, but they are all the same.

“Now the election is over in the Netherlands… when you look at the many parties you see there is no difference between the mindsets of Geert Wilders and social democrats in the Netherlands. They all have the same mindset… That mindset is taking Europe to the cliff. You have begun to collapse Europe. You are dragging Europe into the abyss. Holy wars will soon begin in Europe.”

Dearbornistan Heights Police Department now providing halal food to detained Muslims.

 Arab American News  Local Muslim sharia proponents have welcomed the Dearborn Heights Police Department’s recent decision to provide halal food to Muslims who are detained in their custody.  In recent months, members of the terror-linked CAIR (Council on American Islamic Relations of Michigan) have held meetings with the Dearborn Heights mayor and police chief to discuss the need for the City’s police force to better accommodate Muslim suspects and criminals. These meetings have led to the recent halal food accommodation. CAIR-MI is also seeking similar accommodations from other law enforcement entities in Michigan and says the Police Department’s decision is a testament to recognizing the religious sensitivities of Muslims.

Detroit News  After meeting this week with officials from the Council on American-Islamic Relations of Michigan, the Novi Police Department has agreed to allow Muslim women to wear the traditional hijab […] covering during detainment.

“We welcome the sensitivity shown by the Novi Police Department and look forward to working with them in the future, which will include providing sensitivity trainings,” CAIR-MI Executive Director Dawud Walid said in a statement.

The U.S. Air Force has confirmed to The Clarion Project that it paid nearly $5,000 for advertisements in the magazine of the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA), an unindicted co-conspirator in a terrorism-financing trial that was also labeled a U.S. Muslim Brotherhood entity by the government. The Air Force said it would continue to consider paying ISNA for ads.

An advertisement for the U.S. Air Force Chaplain Corps is in the March-April issue of Islamic Horizons, ISNA’s magazine. ClarionProject.org asked the Air Force about the advertisement and included facts about ISNA. Air Force spokesperson Captain Lindsey Hahn responded:

“The Department of Defense does not endorse any one religion or religious organization, and provides free access of religion for all members of the military services.  The Department respects (and supports by its policy) the rights of others to their own religious beliefs, including the right to hold no beliefs. In order to recruit chaplains capable to provide for the diverse needs of Airmen and their families, Air Force chaplain recruiters advertise in a wide variety of religious organization publications

“The Islamic Society of North America is one of many religious organizations recognized by the Department of Defense that satisfy the ecclesiastical requirements to endorse qualified religious ministry professionals to serve as chaplains within the Military Departments.

“This ad ran twice in the Islamic Horizons magazine to create awareness for Air Force chaplain recruiting efforts in the Muslim community. It cost $4800 total.”

When asked whether the U.S. Air Force will reconsider paying ISNA for advertisement space in the future, the spokesperson repeated the earlier statement.

There are three takeaways here. First, the U.S. Air Force gave nearly $5,000 of taxpayer money to ISNA. Second, the Air Force says ISNA is qualified to endorse Muslim chaplains for the military. And lastly, even when provided with the facts about ISNA, the Air Force says it will consider future payments to ISNA for ads.

ISNA is the first organization mentioned in a 1991 U.S. Muslim Brotherhood memo’s list of “our organizations and the organizations of our friends.” The same memo describes its “work in America as a kind of grand jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within.”

Declassified FBI memos reveal that ISNA was identified as a Brotherhood front as early as 1987.

The Justice Department labeled ISNA an unindicted co-conspirator in the terrorism-financing trial of the Holy Land Foundation, a U.S. Muslim Brotherhood entity that was shut down for funding Hamas. The U.S. government listed ISNA as one of the “individuals/entities who are and/or were members of the U.S. Muslim Brotherhood.” The label was upheld in 2009 because of “ample” evidence linking ISNA to Hamas. The Holy Land Foundation “operated from within ISNA,” the ruling noted, and it used an ISNA bank account to send “hundreds of thousands of dollars” to Hamas.

The director of ISNA’s Office of Interfaith and Community Alliances, Sayyid Syeed, was on ISNA’s founding board of directors and was the secretary-general from 1994 to 2006. In 2006, he was recorded saying, “Our job is to change the constitution of America.”

Appeal Filed After “Stop Islamisation of America” Trademark Rejected

On April 8, the American Freedom Law Center (AFLC) filed a notice of appeal in the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit in response to the Trademark Trial & Appeal Board’s (TTAB) affirmance of the denial of the “Stop Islamisation of America” or “SIOA” trademark application, which was sought by anti-sharia advocates Pamela Geller and Robert Spencer.

Pamela Geller and Robert Spencer, executive directors of the human rights organization, the Freedom Defense Initiative (FDI), applied to the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) to register the trademark “Stop the Islamisation of America” to foster and provide an understanding of how to prevent sharia-based tyranny and Islamist terrorism.

The USPTO rejected FDI’s application in an “Office Action” based on the following analysis: (1) “Islamisation” means converting to Islam or “to make Islamic;” and (2), “Stop” would be understood to mean that “action must be taken to cease, or put an end to, converting or making people in America conform to Islam.” Thus, the trademark, according to the “Office Action” ruling, disparaged Muslims and linked them to terrorism.

As a result, AFLC appealed the rejection of the SIOA mark to the TTAB, filing a detailed and lengthy brief opposing the USPTO’s ruling.  The AFLC brief demonstrated that the term “Islamisation” is not broadly defined as a conversion of an individual; or even a whole society to the religion of Islam; or to the state of being more culturally Islamic.  Rather, AFLC argued, “Islamisation” is the process of implementing sharia into a society in order to convert that society to a sharia-compliant Islamic state.

At oral argument before the TTAB in Arlington, Virginia, David Yerushalmi, AFLC Co-Founder and Senior Counsel, argued that the only probative evidence in the record for the actual meaning of “Islamisation” was that presented by his clients and which showed beyond any doubt that Muslims and non-Muslims alike used and understood “Islamisation” to be the political movement to implement Islamic law or sharia as the law of the land.

Yerushalmi commented: “The TTAB’s opinion upholding the USPTO’s rejection of the mark was forced to bend itself into a pretzel to get around the only evidence in the record.  The term ‘Islamisation’ is a political movement – not religious conversion – and it can be traced to the Muslim Brotherhood, where it is found in their own documents advocating ‘civilizational jihad.’ Furthermore, the term is used frequently in professional and academic contexts.  Therefore, ‘stopping Islamisation’ and linking this doctrine to terrorism does not implicate good, patriotic, loyal Muslims in America; instead, it is an important educational tool that raises awareness about those who seek the demise of our constitutional Republic through a sharia-based political process.”

AFLC Co-Founder and Senior Counsel Robert Muise commented: “It is crucial that Americans understand the threat that our Nation faces from sharia-adherent Islam, especially from stealth jihadists who covertly seek to perpetuate sharia into American society.  This trademark does exactly that.”

Once the Notice of Appeal is accepted, the USPTO must transfer the relevant filings to the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, which will then set a briefing schedule.

In the case of halal-slaughtered meat, this means extreme pain and suffering for the animals. whose throats are cut partially so they bleed out, often taking 10 – 15 minutes for them to die in excruciating pain.

There is a hidden tax in food certified as halal. Part of that tax supports Islamic extremism and funds terrorism in the U.S. and around the world.

Frontpage Magazine by Joe Kaufman  In October 2010, news broke about how the Campbell’s Soup company received an Islamic (halal) certification for some of its product line, and many were outraged. There was a legitimate concern – not with the fact that Campbell’s received the certification, but with what organization the certification came from, that being the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA), a group co-founded by Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) leader Sami al-Arian.

In 2007 and 2008, ISNA was named by the U.S. Justice Department as a co-conspirator for two federal trials dealing with the financing of millions of dollars to Hamas. The defendants of the trials were the leaders of the Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development (HLF) and HLF itself. In the end, each was found guilty of all charges.

There was good reason for ISNA being named. For years, since HLF was established in 1987 as the Occupied Land Fund (OLF), the group advertised its mailing address as the same one being used (to this day) by ISNA. ISNA’s main youth group, the Muslim Students Association (MSA), asked for donations to be sent to the address in OLF’s name.

This information, along with the backlash Campbell’s received, might have contributed to Campbell’s ending its association with ISNA and becoming the client of another halal group, the Islamic Food and Nutrition Council of America (IFANCA).

However, Campbell’s may have acted too soon, as ISNA has now announced that it and IFANCA have forged an agreement to work together. As was posted this month on ISNA’s site, “ISNA has built an alliance with the Islamic Food and Nutrition Council of America (IFANCA), the largest Halal certifying body in the U.S., for support in establishing the national Halal standards and accreditation body.”

But regardless of ISNA’s connection to IFANCA, IFANCA has major terror-related problems of its own.

Ahmad H. Sakr is a member of IFANCA’s Board of Directors and has been with IFANCA since its inception. According to Sakr’s bio, he “co-founded the Muslim Students’ Association in North America in which he led for some time.” Established in 1963, the Muslim Students Association (MSA) was the first major Muslim Brotherhood organization within the U.S. Sakr, as well, served as an officer and sat on the Board of Directors of the MSA-created North American Islamic Trust (NAIT), a group named by the U.S. Justice Department as a co-conspirator for two federal trials dealing with the financing of millions of dollars to Hamas.

Also according to his bio, Sakr was “the first director and representative of the Muslim World League to the U.N.” As stated by the Anti-Defamation League, the Muslim World League (MWL) “has a long history of providing financial support to terrorist groups or having organizational links to them, including to Hamas, Abu Sayyaf group, Moro Islamic Liberation Front, Jemaat al Islamiyya, and Al Qaeda. The MWL also provides a platform for inflammatory speech, including anti-Semitism.”

In Sakr’s book, ‘Pork: Possible Reasons for its Prohibition,’ he describes Jews as being cursed, monkey-like, filthy and corrupt. He wrote: “It is known that some of the children of Israel regularly disobeyed Allah and as a result, were cursed. Some of them stagnated spiritually and mentally and hence became idol-worshipers; others lost their mission in life as human beings and became entertainers (if such a term is to be used) like monkeys, apes and chimpanzees [sic], and still others became filthy of mind and body, gluttonous eaters of carnivorous animals, and lived totally a corrupted life as swines [sic].”

Roger M. Othman sits on the Board of Directors of IFANCA and previously served as the first Managing Director of IFANCA. According to his bio, Othman “has served on the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee of the Mosque Foundation.”

The Mosque Foundation (MF), located in the Chicago suburb of Bridgeview, has been a haven for Palestinian terror-related activity. MF has held fundraisers for Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) leader Sami al-Arian and Hamas’s former American finance wing, the Holy Land Foundation. In July 2007, one of Othman’s fellow MF Executive Committee alumni, Muhammad Salah, was convicted of obstruction of justice for making false statements during a legal proceeding and was sentenced to 21 months in prison. According to the FBI, Salah was recruiting and training Hamas members and was raising money for Hamas.

IFANCA, itself, partners with the Mosque Foundation, as they are both member organizations of the Council of Islamic Organizations of Greater Chicago (CIOGC). Other members include: Islamic Relief (IR), which has been associated with both Hamas and al-Qaeda financing; Helping Hand (HH), which partnered with a Pakistani charity at the same time that charity delivered close to $100 thousand to the residence of the head of Hamas, Khaled Meshaal; and the Muslim American Society (MAS), which has used the internet to propagate materials degrading to women, cursing Christians, and calling for the murder of Jews.

All of this should be of concern to the numerous companies that give IFANCA big money to place IFANCA’s ‘Crescent M’ symbol on their food products. This includes not only Campbell’s soups, but Ben and Jerry’s ice cream, Sun-Maid raisins, Nestle chocolate, and according to the bio of IFANCA’s President Muhammad Munir Chaudry, Hershey and Pepsi too. In fact, at a 2011 Islamist forum moderated by then-ISNA Secretary General Safaa Zarzour, one of the featured participants, Pepsi’s Chief Scientific Officer Mehmood Khan, claimed that Pepsi “collaborates” with IFANCA with “those 24 countries we [Pepsi] have halal certification.”

This is truly disturbing, given IFANCA’s extremist leadership and terrorist ties.

At the 2011 forum, Chaudry spoke, stating, “I see only opportunities… opportunities by Muslim businessmen to create more businesses, and there are opportunities for non-Muslim-owned corporations to service us, to service our needs.” The question is: Which needs is he referring to? The ones that are food-related or the ones that move his group to associate with co-conspirators?

Kraft Foods’ Cadbury Easter products submitted to sharia law

Why does Cadbury need Easter and Christmas products to be halal or legally permitted in Islam? Muslims not only don’t celebrate these days but here’s what the leader of a prominent Muslim group in the U.S. says recognizing such holy days is strengthening the pillars of Kufr.”

…a Muslim can’t enjoin in any aspect of Christmas in the disguise that Jesus is our Prophet too, we are just honoring him by celebrating Christmas. We should recognize the bidah of Christmas and the Prophet’s warning that all bidah should be rejected. Therefore, accepting Christmas invitations, attending Christmas parties, buying small plastic Christmas trees to please the kids (some Muslims actually do) should be avoided.

By greeting Christians with ‘merry Christmas’ we are legitimizing Christmas, by driving out on Christmas eve to witness the decoration of houses, we are appreciating bidah with our eyes, by placing our kids on the laps of Santa in the malls we are handing them in the hands of a fiend, by closing our Islamic Schools or shops during Christmas we are giving it our silent approval, by selling Christmas items in our shops, we are strengthening the pillars of Kufr.

We would also like to make clear that the Halal certification of our products is not intended to offend any other cultural or religious belief; and does not prevent other faiths from being able to purchase and consume our products.

And how does not being halal prevent Muslims from purchasing or consuming these products? If you choose to be Muslim or stay Muslim (because you can be put to death if you choose to leave) then live with your decision. Don’t force others to live by Islam. Shame on Kraft and Cadbury.

U.S. Government Allows Muslims to Determine What American Textbooks Are Allowed To Say About Islam

I’m sure it sounded reasonable in the beginning — history book publishers of U.S. textbooks should consult with Muslims when they write anything about Islam, just to make sure it is correct. Check with the experts on the subject.

But the Muslims involved in influencing what is being taught to junior high and high school students in the United States are first of all, not history experts, and second of all, they are deliberately editing the information to give a falsely positive view of Islamic doctrine and history. In the interests of multiculturalism, some schools go much further and actually insist their students practice Islam!

Looking at the long term, if you were an Islamic supremacist and you wanted to soften up Americans for an eventual takeover, and if you wanted to keep them from stopping you until it’s too late, you would be hard pressed to find a more promising project than influencing school children to think Islam is benign. These future American leaders and voters will not be very willing to learn about the real nature and scope of the third jihad.

This astonishing situation in our school system is documented thoroughly in a new investigative report produced by a partnership of the Mission Viejo chapter of ACT for America and the United American Committee. What is the Texas Islamic Court?

Hugh Fitzgerald over at the New English Review came across a Texas sharia court that we identified in one of Creeping Sharia’s very first posts, Sharia Law enforced in Texas!

For the past twelve years Ghassan Hitto has worked in Dallas for a technology company whose chief executive is Arshad Syed. Hitto has been involved with the Brighter Horizons Academy, for Muslim students, which in turn is connected to the Islamic Services Foundation. The Islamic Services Foundation is described at its own website as follows:

Note please not only the Brighter Horizons Academy, but also the “My Islamic Book Series” — a book series that journalists might want to look into, and the Quranic Institute, but above all, look at the last item on the list — the Texas Islamic Court.

What is the Texas Islamic Court?

I’d like to know because I’d like to know a little bit more about the devout Ghassan Hitto, and his views of the proper place of Muslims in a non-Muslim society, just as I would like to know more about his view of the proper place of non-Muslims — in Syria, for example — in a society where Muslims predominate.

1.  The Parties agree to arbitrate all existing issues among them in the above mentioned Cause Numbers in the appropriate District Court, which includes the Divorce Case, the child custody of the [sic] Noor Qaddura and Farah Qaddura, the determination of each party’s responsibilities and duties according to the Islamic rules of law by Texas Islamic Court.

2.All parties agree to sign the Texas Islamic Court required legal forms, and each party pays his required fees.

3.The panel of arbitrators of Texas Islamic Court will be formed according to the rules and regulations of Texas Islamic Court.
